Today, the Education Endowment Foundation published some support resources for parents around home learning daily routines. Routines are important and support in keeping a sense of normality, particularly during this challenging and unprecedented time. Here are links to a video and a checklist that you and your child may benefit from looking at. 😊💜
Following government advice the school is currently closed. Please see OUR CLASSES for tasks each week. STAY HOME – STAY SAFE
Due to hazardous road conditions and health and safety issues regarding staff numbers, school will be closed today.
Please check out our maths tutorials – teachers have added the video tutorials to their class pages. The tutorials focus on a element taught in class each week and will help and support you and your child to see the methods we are using in school. Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions!
what makes ME stand out from them all… to celebrate the work we have completed this week – every child will come home tonight with a letter…the letter shows a mirror and will have one word that describes just one of your child’s many talents. We want our children to know how brilliant we they are!
Thank you to all of the children who took part in the football tournament at Spennymoor this week. Your attitudes and sportsmanship were fantastic and didn’t go unnoticed by the organisers – we received a letter to school to say just how brilliant you all were – Well done – we’re very proud of you!
We’re pleased that the children have enjoyed learning about different kinds of bullying through a range of activities this week. Including, what bullying is, learning what to do if they are worried that they or someone they know may be being bullied, celebrating difference and valuing their own unique personalities and talents.
Wow! What super hula hoop stars we have at Etherley Lane! Every child in school enjoyed learning how to hula hoop and new hula skills this week – we’re looking forward to seeing more of your moves at lunchtimes when the hoops will be outside for fun!
Well done to our Year 6 children who represented the school at the Remembrance Service today. We are very proud of how well you represented the school and showed your respect and compassion for those who we honoured.
Wonderful to see so many of our children enjoying the spooky disco on Tuesday – lots of spooky fun had by all!
