Year 3

Mrs. Walker        Mrs. Wakes        Mrs. Laidler

Hi Class 5,

It was fab to be back on our LIVE lessons last week together, and to see so many of you there was amazing!  My arms are still aching from rubbing those stones together in our Science experiment on Tuesday!!

This week we are focusing on PHSCE, Geography and of course don’t forget Mrs Laidler’s session on Thursday afternoon -a great way to snuggle down and listen to our class story.

Finally the big event of this week is WORLD BOOK DAY 2021! It is obviously a little bit different this year, but you have two tasks …the first to send us in your photos on Seesaw of you reading -this can be as wacky as you want and second you need to try and discover who the “Masked Readers” are on our Facebook page (always make sure you are with a responsible adult first) they are all familiar adults from around our school!!!!

Finally, remember to stay safe and if you have any queries please contact us on the main school line or through Seesaw.

Take care and stay safe.

Mrs Wakes, Mrs Walker and Mrs Laidler Xx

In Geography we have been learning to read maps. We followed the journey along the River Tyne from its source to mouth.

We have thoroughly enjoyed learning about the Iron Age and have even created our own Iron Age Stew!

In Art we have been exploring different printing techniques. Here we are creating string blocks ready to print.

Children came into school dressed in animal print to support the wildlife fire effort in Australia.
